The Volunteers toppled the Aggies in the final last year and seem just as loaded in 2025.

Why Is Tennessee Favored To Win The College World Series, again?
LSU sits atop the 2025 College World Series odds for good reason. The Tigers rolled through the regular season with a 43–14 record and now get to host both the Baton Rouge Regional and Super Regional at Alex Box Stadium, one of the toughest places to play in college baseball.
Leading the charge are two stars: first baseman Jared Jones and lefty ace Kade Anderson. Jones has crushed all year, topping the team in batting average and RBIs while earning First Team All-SEC honors. Anderson is a strikeout artist with a deep arsenal, already tossing a complete-game shutout, the first by an LSU pitcher since 2018. With this kind of talent on both sides, LSU looks built for another championship run in Omaha.

The Volts entered the 2024 tournament first in CWS odds and were slated as -210 favorites before the three-game final began. They beat Texas A&M in three games to become the latest College World Series champs:

What Is A Futures Bet On College World Series Odds?
When you visit your sportsbook of choice, you’ll see an option to bet on which team will win the College World Series. This kind of bet is a futures wager, which means you’re betting on events that will happen in time. You would see odds listed like this:
- Tennessee +375
- Vanderbilt +375
- Florida +1200
- Georgia +1200
- Mississippi State +1500
Unlike a moneyline bet, where there would be a clear favorite and underdog, the team with the lowest MLB World Series odds is the closest thing to a fave. In this case, it’s Tennessee and Vandy.
The lower teams on the oddsboard, though less likely to win, offer better value. If you were to bet $100 on Mississippi State and they won the College World Series, you’d get a payout of $1,600 – your original $100 is returned, along with your winnings of $1,500. On the other hand, the same bet amount on Tennessee would give you a payout of $475 – you get your $100 back, plus your loot of $375.
Our Odds Calculator can help you determine how much you’d pocket depending on the odds and the amount bet.
