Today's MLB player props highlight two total bases bets for AL East sluggers. I'm going with Alejandro Kirk from the Blue Jays and Gunnar Henderson from the Orioles.

Alejandro Kirk OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+150 at Sportsbook)
This is a sneaky bet, and I'm not deterred by the fact Kirk has cashed the OVER 1.5 once in the last 10 games. Firstly, Kirk has snagged a hit in four straight — all singles, though. He added a deep sac fly in Monday's win vs Texas, so I'm seeing more consistent cuts from him at the dish.
And then comes the real kicker: he owns Rangers starter Nathan Eovaldi. Kirk is 6-for-10 lifetime vs Eovaldi with two doubles and three walks. I also sized up Kirk to homer at +850, but ultimately went with the total bases instead.
Gunnar Henderson OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+130 at Sportsbook)
Henderson is one shiny bright spot in the nightmare circus that is the Baltimore Orioles right now. Gunnar owns an .885 OPS this month and enters Tuesday's game 1-for-1 lifetime with a homer vs Cards starter Andre Pallante. I like the way Henderson has been sticking it lately, cashing this bet in three of his last six contests.
I'll take a chance here at +130. It's worthwhile, and Henderson's upside gives me confidence.
