NRFI Picks Today: Fade Pitchers In Rays-Twins

You want NRFI picks? Well, today, May 27, I'm going in the other direction with two YRFI best bets, as I back two hot offenses to get it done.

YRFI Pick Today: Twins vs Rays (+100 at Sportsbook)

Twins vs Rays Odds – 7:05 p.m. ET

Twins vs Rays marks our first leg of this two-headed YRFI evening. Firstly, Tampa is mad hot in the first inning of late, drumming up a .613 SLG and 1.062 team OPS over the last seven days. Brandon Lowe and Junior Caminero both have three hits in their last five first innings, including a homer. This offense is suddenly deadly.

To make things even on both ends, Rays starter Taj Bradley takes the hill. He's been messy in the first inning this year, yielding a 9.90 ERA, 1.109 opponent OPS, and a 7-3 YRFI record. That's all I need to hear for a plus-money bet.

YRFI Pick Today: Nationals vs Mariners (-113 at Sportsbook)

Nationals vs Mariners Odds – Game Time: 9:40 p.m. ET

I almost don't even want to look at the starting pitching matchup for this contest because my mind is so made up. On Tuesday, we've got the Mariners, baseball's best YRFI team (per our NRFI betting trends page), vs the Nationals, MLB's hottest first-inning offense over the last two weeks.

Seattle is 31-21 YRFI this season and currently on a two-game YRFI streak. Meanwhile, the Nats own a .726 SLG and a 1.146 OPS in the last 14 days. Those trends are as decisive as it gets. Plus, Mitchell Parker starts for Washington, having allowed at least four runs in four of his last five contests.

M's starter Logan Evans also allowed three homers in his last start vs the White Sox. Something's got to give in this first inning.
